Men are emotional.

Men are emotional.

Humans have emotions. The second statement is obvious and draws no attention.

But when I say men are emotional, especially when I wear it on my chest, people have all types of things to say.

Anger is an emotion. Anger is the most common emotion that men feel entitled to demonstrate. But the truth of the matter is that men have a heart. Men have feelings. Men have emotions.

The difference in our society is that being in touch with how you feel is associated with femininity. Feelings are more than an emotional response that seems irrational.

Feelings are a part of intuition. Many strong people that are tapped into their femininity are intuitive. Many of those people are able to feel into things before they have the dots to connect and their intuition gives them insight to what becomes truth.

Trust your gut is an accepted term for men. That term could also be translated to trust your intuition. Which can be translated to trust your feelings.

If men trust their gut, they are trusting their emotions, because they are in fact emotional.

It’s the way you say it.

What’s said is based on context and perspective.

So, perhaps we reshape our context and perspective by saying:

“Men are emotional.”
